Stovetop Pizza is a site about cooking, written by people who think about pans and batter for a living. We test products, develop recipes, and write the kind of guides we wish had existed when we started cooking seriously at home.

Important: Stovetop Pizza is owned and operated by the team behind CrepePro, a brand that manufactures and sells 12-inch carbon steel cookware.

When we review carbon steel pans, CrepePro pans are products we make and sell. We have a direct financial interest in CrepePro products. We disclose this relationship on every page that references our products and at the bottom of every article.

Our reviews of products from other brands reflect our honest assessment based on actual testing. We don't accept payment for reviews, we don't review products we haven't used, and we don't recommend products we wouldn't use ourselves. But readers should consider our ownership of CrepePro when weighing our recommendations.

We follow the FTC's guidelines on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255) and Google's E-E-A-T principles by being transparent about who we are and what we sell.

How we test

Every product we review has been cooked on for at least 30 days in our test kitchen. We make crepes, eggs, pancakes, stir-fry, smashburgers, and pizza on each pan, then assess: heat distribution, surface release, seasoning behavior, ergonomics, build quality, and longevity.

For recipes, we test each one at least three times before publishing, with notes from multiple cooks of varying skill levels. We don't publish a recipe until we're confident it produces consistent results.
